I am proud to announce that RKR has partnered with Nexen Tire for the 2012 Formula Drift season. Ryan will be running the Nexen N9000 tire in the front and the Nexen N6000 tire in the rear of the 350z. Nexen tire has been a prominent competitor in the Formula Drift series and we are excited to be part of the Nexen team alongside Odi Bakchis and Kyle Mohan. Ryan recently signed with Forged Racing as a title sponsor and now Nexen Tire will round out the program for the 2012 Formula Drift season. Here’s the first look at Ryan’s new setup for 2012 with the Forged Racing/Nexen Tire 350z.

I am always excited to compete at Formula D, but the anticipation I was feeling before the finale at Irwindale was the greatest I have felt all year. I felt like everything was finally going to come together for this event. The car was working great, and I felt the more comfortable in the drivers seat of the 350z than I have all year. Since Irwindale is the last round of the season, everyone has the same feeling that they can drive all out with nothing to lose. If you crash, there is an entire off season to make repairs. This attitude was highly apparent in all the drivers, which made Round 7 at Irwindale the most insane Formula Drift event I have ever experienced.
